What are DirtyBars?

DirtyBars are premium electric retractable side steps that automatically deploy when you open your door and retract when you close it, making it easier to get in and out of your 4WD while maintaining ground clearance.

Are DirtyBars rock sliders?

No. DirtyBars are electric side steps and are not designed to be used as rock sliders or recovery points.

Are DirtyBars waterproof?

Yes. They are designed for Australia's harsh conditions and feature water-resistant motors for uptown 30 minutes, suitable for everyday off-road use.

How much weight can they hold?

DirtyBars are rated to supportup to 300kgof vertical load.

Do they reduce ground clearance?

No. When retracted, DirtyBars tuck neatly against the vehicle to maintain excellent ground clearance.

What happens if the step hits an obstacle?

DirtyBars are equipped with built-in safety features, including anti-pinch and pressure sensors, to help protect the system if an obstruction is detected.

My DirtyBars are shuddering or shaking when they open. What's wrong?

If your DirtyBars shudder or shake during deployment, the most common cause isincorrect alignment. This is usually due to the mounting brackets requiring adjustment. If the issue is significant, we recommend checking the alignment or contacting our support team for assistance.

Are DirtyBars compatible with body lifts?

Yes. DirtyBars are compatible withbody-lifted vehiclesbecause they mount directly to the vehicle's body rather than the chassis. This ensures the steps continue to align and operate correctly after a body lift.

My steps aren't deploying properly. What should I check?

First, ensure all wiring connections are secure and the system has power. If the issue persists, contact our support team and we'll help troubleshoot the problem.
